Apple acknowledges display flaw in select iPhone Duo models
Apple confirmed a display defect affecting a small number of iPhone Duo foldable phones and advised owners to contact AppleCare for replacements. The issue was first reported by owners who observed hinge-related cracks and white pixel lines on the inner display.
A teardown by iFixit later suggested that the hinge design creates a pressure hotspot that may cause the early screen cracking. Earlier, Apple said it was investigating the problem and would provide replacements through AppleCare, after users began reporting the hinge-related damage.
