Tumbler Ridge Shooting Survivor Maya Gebala Leaves Hospital After 262 Days
Maya Gebala, the 13-year-old survivor of the February 2024 Tumbler Ridge school shooting, was discharged from British Columbia Children’s Hospital on 27 October after 262 days of treatment, hospital officials said. Earlier reports in October noted that she had spent nine months in the facility following a series of surgeries. CBC cited her father confirming the discharge, while CP24 and The Globe and Mail also reported the eight-month hospital stay.
