Farage skips budget debate amid shoving allegation in Commons
The Guardian reported that Reform UK leader Nigel Farage said he skipped the recent budget debate after a seating dispute in the Commons, and Liberal Democrat deputy leader Daisy Cooper alleged that he physically shoved a female MP. Earlier, GB News noted that Farage told reporters a confrontation with an MP had forced him to avoid Chancellor John Healey's budget presentation. The Independent added that he cited a removed prayer card as evidence of a possible clash and chose to review the budget with his team instead.
The Guardian also recorded his criticism of the £10 billion Ukraine aid package and his party's crypto-tax proposals. The Telegraph later identified the MP involved as Liberal Democrat schools spokesman Caroline Voaden.
