Richard Sherman praises DeForest Buckner’s return to 49ers
Former San Francisco 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman said the trade for defensive tackle DeForest Buckner strengthens the team’s defense. The 49ers completed the deal with the Indianapolis Colts, sending a 2027 fourth-round draft pick to Indianapolis, bringing Buckner back to the defensive line as the club prepares for upcoming games. Earlier reports noted that the trade added depth to the line and that San Francisco was also evaluating additional upgrades at defensive end, cornerback and wide receiver before the trade deadline.
