Musk warns AI cloud providers of funding crunch and consolidation
Elon Musk warned in the United States that AI cloud providers could face consolidation and failures as financing dries up, a comment that triggered a sell-off in neocloud stocks, according to Reuters. Earlier, Musk told investors that lenders were pulling back from firms reliant on AI data-center revenue, suggesting many specialist providers might struggle or merge, as reported by The Guardian. Prior to that, SpaceX secured up to $40 billion in debt financing to purchase graphics processing units, citing its investment-grade rating and revenue from Starlink and launch services, Fox Business said.
