Silver slides to near one-year low amid macro pressures
Investors in Washington saw spot silver fall to about $48. 63 per ounce, its lowest level since November 2025, as higher oil prices, strong U. S. economic data and inflation concerns weighed on demand, Moneycontrol. com reported.
Earlier, FXEmpire noted that silver slipped below $55 amid rising oil prices and expectations of an October Federal Reserve rate hike. Kitco said weakening investment demand and rising inventories pressured the metal to year-to-date lows. Later, FXEmpire observed a near-9% weekly drop, with silver testing $48-$50 support as a tech sell-off unfolded. Livemint added that ETF redemptions and higher bond yields further squeezed prices, prompting analysts to advise staggered buying.
