My Chemical Romance Settles Trademark Dispute Over Cheerleader Costumes
My Chemical Romance agreed on 28 October to stop using costumes that resemble the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders' uniforms after reaching a settlement with the cheer squad's trademark holder, Pro Silver Star, in Los Angeles, Rolling Stone reported. The dispute began when Pro Silver Star, the parent company of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, sued the band for trademark infringement over outfits worn by performers at the group's 23 October concert at the Hollywood Bowl, TheWrap said. The plaintiff later sought a temporary restraining order in Dallas County, NBC News noted, and a court issued a temporary order the same day, Rolling Stone reported.
