Red Bull clutch problems and Mercedes limits dominate US Grand Prix analysis
The Race reported that Red Bull's clutch problems and Mercedes's narrow operating window dominated the post-race analysis of the United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas, with other teams showing mixed performance. Earlier in the weekend, Autosport said Mercedes rookie Kimi Antonelli secured pole, edging Max Verstappen by two tenths and placing George Russell sixth. Formula 1 noted that Lewis Hamilton topped the final practice session, with Verstappen and Charles Leclerc completing the top three.
The same outlet added that Ferrari led early practice and warned that recent aerodynamic upgrades delivered only modest gains. Autosport also reported that Leclerc set the fastest time in the second practice as drivers struggled to keep the cars on track and teams examined tyre strategies. BBC highlighted that Leclerc had led the first practice session.
