A Celtics spokesperson in Boston for forward Jaylen Brown denied reports that he demanded a trade or presented a list of conditions before being sent to Philadelphia, calling the claims false. The denial followed weeks of speculation after analyst Brian Scalabrine said Brown had asked the Celtics for a trade and supplied a set of conditions prior to the deal.

Brown had earlier responded to teammate Jayson Tatum's video about the trade with a cap emoji on social media, and both players later said there was no animosity between them. Tatum emphasized the need for better communication ahead of the Celtics-76ers matchup, while Brown reiterated that there was no conflict.
