Colts Expected to Explore Trade Options for Jonathan Taylor and Josh Downs
Bleacher Report says that after the Indianapolis Colts traded guard Quenton Nelson and defensive lineman DeForest Buckner before the Nov. 10 deadline, the team is expected to explore trade options for running back Jonathan Taylor and wide receiver Josh Downs. Earlier NBC Sports reports indicated that multiple NFL clubs, at least five, have shown interest in acquiring Taylor, with analysts pointing to the Cincinnati Bengals as a likely destination.
Other NBC Sports sources noted that the Colts have not actively pursued a trade for Taylor while evaluating roster options following the dismissal of GM Chris Ballard. Bleacher Report added that the Colts are reportedly seeking a second-round draft pick or more for Taylor, and ESPN reporter Adam Schefter, cited by NBC Sports, said the owners are reluctant to move the star running back before the deadline. Throughout, Taylor has downplayed the speculation, saying it does not affect his focus.
