Saquon Barkley practices despite lingering hamstring and back injuries
Running back Saquon Barkley took part in the Philadelphia Eagles' practice on 30 October, though his participation in the upcoming Night Football game remained uncertain because of a hamstring strain and a newly aggravated back injury, NBC Sports reported. He had missed 's walkthrough after the hamstring and back issues resurfaced, NBC Sports added. On 21 October, NFL Network reporter Mike Garafolo said Barkley was slated to practice and could be active for the Week 7 contest against the Dallas Cowboys. The Eagles' injury report later listed him as questionable but still on the active roster, Bleeding Green Nation noted.
He was subsequently cleared to play and participated in the game, Yahoo Sports reported, as both teams entered the matchup with 2-4 records. After the contest, head coach Nick Sirianni explained that the staff had closely monitored his condition before allowing him to play, but Barkley left the game with a back injury, NBC Sports quoted. The following day he sat out the team's walkthrough, NBC Sports added.
