Electronic Arts said on 21 October that it was shutting down its BioWare studio in Edmonton, Alberta, and cutting roughly 400 jobs, while also ending early development on the next Mass Effect game. The decision follows a restructuring plan announced earlier in the week that would close the Edmonton studio, eliminate about 3% of EA’s workforce and pair Respawn with DICE on a new Star Wars: Battlefront 3 title, while cancelling several other projects.
