Canadian Tourist Convicted of Flamingo Theft, Placed Under House Arrest
Canadian tourist Mitchell Fairbarn was found guilty of felony and misdemeanor animal-cruelty charges for taking a flamingo from the Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, and is now under house arrest pending sentencing. The conviction was delivered by a Clark County jury, which had earlier set a sentencing date for later in the year.
