Court filings link St. Louis teen shooter to earlier I-55 attack
Federal court filings allege that Willie Herndon, the man charged with killing 17-year-old Alyssa Wilson, may also be linked to a shooting on Interstate 55 that occurred three days earlier. The Texas couple, Willie and Taiya Herndon, were arrested and charged with first-degree murder and related offenses after Wilson was shot while driving to the St. Louis Zoo on I-170.
The filings represent the latest development in a case that began with the couple's arrest in Texas, where prosecutors said they acted together in the fatal attack on the highway near St. Charles Rock Road.
