49ers lose Evans, Bosa and others ahead of Falcons clash
NBC Sports reported that the San Francisco 49ers will miss key contributors, including wide receiver Mike Evans and defensive end Nick Bosa, as they prepare to face the Atlanta Falcons on October 23. Earlier reports indicated that fullback Kyle Juszczyk had been cleared to play on (NBC Sports), while Evans was listed as questionable after aggravating an Achilles soreness (NBC Sports). SFGATE noted that wide receiver Christian Kirk remained on injured reserve and would not suit up for the Week 6 game against Washington.
Coach Kyle Shanahan said the team expected Nick Bosa to return this week after missing practice (NBC Sports Bay Area & California). SFGATE also said Evans was expected to play despite rib and Achilles injuries.
