WNBA moves Game 6 to morning after Atlanta arena clash
The WNBA shifted the possible championship Game 6 between the Golden State Valkyries and the Atlanta Dream to a p. m. ET slot after a scheduling clash with an NBA game at State Farm Arena, NBC News reported.
The series opened with the Valkyries winning Game 1, 68-64, before the Dream responded with victories in Games 2 (79-65) and 3 (97-71). The Valkyries tied the series in Game 4, 67-62, and then took a 3-2 lead with a 64-55 win in Game 5. Earlier, SFGATE noted that the league had not confirmed whether Game 6 would be held at State Farm Arena or the smaller Gateway Center Arena because of the conflict with an Atlanta Hawks NBA game.
