Fraternity sexual assault investigations span Chicago and Arizona campuses
The Guardian reported that a sorority student at the University of Arizona alleged she was sexually assaulted by two men at the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity house in August, prompting a university police investigation. ABC7 Chicago reported that university officials barred the Alpha Epsilon Pi chapter near the University of Chicago from holding events while Chicago police investigated a sexual assault that occurred at an off-campus fraternity party, and police said they had identified a non-student suspect and the investigation was ongoing. In February, NBC News reported that a 19-year-old woman filed a lawsuit in Cook County Circuit Court alleging she was assaulted at an Alpha Delta Phi fraternity house near the University of Chicago.
