Williams' career-best start powers Bears to win over Falcons
Quarterback Caleb Williams returned from a hamstring strain and threw a career-high 12 passes to start, guiding the Chicago Bears to a 31-23 win over the Atlanta Falcons on October 13. Williams had missed the previous three games with a torn hamstring.
Coach Ben Johnson had said earlier in the week that the quarterback was progressing in rehab and could be ready for the Falcons matchup. CBS Sports reported that Williams was listed as active for the game, and NBC Sports noted that he cleared a stress test before receiving clearance to play.
