Bears list Caleb Williams as active for game
NBC Sports reported that the Chicago Bears listed quarterback Caleb Williams as active for their game against the Atlanta Falcons on October 13, after he missed three contests with a hamstring injury. CBS Sports added that he had been cleared to start after completing full practice. Coach Ben Johnson said earlier in October that Williams was nearing a return following a hamstring injury that sidelined him after the Bears' loss to the Green Bay Packers.
He later indicated the quarterback might be ready for the Week 6 contest against the Falcons, while backup Tyson Bagent remained the starter. Williams posted a John Wick-themed Instagram photo during his rehab and later said he was still awaiting medical clearance and a stress test before knowing if he could play. Subsequent reports projected that he would start the Falcons game once fully recovered.
