Actor Joe Manganiello alleges voodoo curse linked to Sofia Vergara's ex in new memoir
In his memoir, Joe Manganiello recounts a phone conversation with a Cuban shaman who claimed a curse placed by Sofia Vergara's former fiancé caused his health issues.
Actor Joe Manganiello disclosed in his recently published memoir, Bloodlines, that a Cuban shaman contacted him and suggested a curse placed by Sofia Vergara’s former fiancé was responsible for a mysterious intestinal illness. The shaman, who could not travel to the United States, offered to perform a cleansing ritual in Ecuador.
Manganiello wrote that the shaman told him and his then-wife that “someone from your past is still in love with you” and had “put a voodoo curse on your husband” in New Orleans. He said the claim led him to search for flights to Guayaquil, Ecuador, to meet the shaman.
The actor speculated that the curse might be linked to Vergara’s ex-fiancé Nick Loeb, who ended their engagement in 2014, the same year Manganiello began dating Vergara. Manganiello described Loeb as a “trust-fund baby” who had spent extensive time in hospitals after a severe car accident.
“Someone from your past is still in love with you. He put a voodoo curse on your husband. He did it in New Orleans,” the shaman reportedly said.
Manganiello and Vergara were married for seven years before separating in 2023. Page Six contacted Loeb for comment but had not received a response at the time of publication.
