Emmys to Feature Charlie's Angels Reunion and Zendaya Among Presenters

Resumen

The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards will include a reunion of the original Charlie's Angels cast and a lineup of notable presenters such as Zendian, Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz.

"Charlie’s Angels" stars Kate Jackson, Cheryl Ladd and Jaclyn Smith, who are marking the series' 50th anniversary, have been confirmed as presenters for Monday night’s 78th Emmy Awards, suggesting a on-stage reunion. The trio previously gathered for a PaleyFest panel earlier this year.

David Boreanaz, known for the "Angel" spinoff of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," will also present, alongside "Buffy" alum Sarah Michelle Gellar; Boreanaz will promote his new NBC drama remake of "The Rockford Files." Additional presenters include Linda Cardellini and David Harbour, recent winners of limited-series acting awards, as well as Odessa A’zion, Macaulay Culkin, Alan Cumming, Sally Field, Jon Hamm, Marcello Hernández, Peter Krause, Dan Levy, Julianna Margulies, Annie Murphy, Niecy Nash-Betts, Keke Palmer, Amanda Peet, Amy Poehler, Florence Pugh, Rachel Sennott and Zendaya.

Cumming, who won an Emmy for outstanding host of a reality competition, will also be a nominee in that category on Monday.

Field, nominated for lead actress in a limited series, could become the oldest winner in that category at age 79 if she wins.

Zendaya, nominated for lead actress in a drama for "Euphoria," could become the youngest performer to win three lead-drama Emmys.

More presenters are expected to be announced. The ceremony will be broadcast live from the Peacock Theater at LA Live on September 14 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on NBC and Peacock, with Mariska Hargitay hosting and serving as an executive producer alongside Jesse Collins, Dionne Harmon and Jeannae Rouzan-Clay.
