Ex-wife Justine Musk accuses Elon Musk of calling mothers of his children "breeders" in new documentary
In the four-hour documentary directed by Alex Gibney, Elon Musk's former wife Justine Musk alleges the billionaire used demeaning language toward her and other mothers of his children, while other women close to Musk make similar accusations.
The four-hour documentary "Musk" by filmmaker Alex Gibney features Justine Musk, Elon Musk's first wife, describing a relationship she says left her feeling gaslighted and belittled. She recounts Musk calling her "lacking" and telling her during their wedding dance that he was "the alpha in this relationship."
According to the film, Musk referred to the mothers of his children as "breeders" and described them as "interchangeable," a claim Justine Musk disputes. She also says she, not Musk, was holding their infant son Nevada when he died of sudden infant death syndrome, and that Musk cut off transgender daughter Vivian's health insurance after she came out, though he later asked Justice to convey his love for Vivian.
The documentary also includes remarks from Ashley St. Clair, mother of one of Musk's children, who accuses him of fostering division that could have serious societal impacts. St. Clair corroborates the "breeders" label, recalling Musk once telling her he wanted a "legion of children before the civil war."
Musk has not publicly endorsed the film and has expressed displeasure with its content.
