Hrgovic wins IBF heavyweight title as Itauma vows comeback
Moses Itauma announced he will work toward a comeback after being stopped in the ninth round by Croatia's Filip Hrgovic at London’s O2 Arena, where Hrgovic captured the vacant IBF heavyweight title. The bout followed a heated weigh-in in which Itauma shoved Hrgovic and the Croatian responded with a slap before security intervened, according to BBC reports.
In the fight, Hrgovic delivered a ninth-round technical knockout to claim the IBF title, as BBC said. NBC noted that the victory made Hrgovic Croatia’s first heavyweight champion in the division.
