A spectator tossed a green object onto the court at the Sparks-Dream matchup, prompting a brief stoppage while security removed the item and detained the individual.

A game between the Los Angeles Sparks and the Chicago Sky Dream was briefly halted on Thursday when a fan threw a green object onto the court. The incident occurred with 2:59 left in the third quarter as Sparks forward Cameron Brink was near the free-throw line. After the object landed near the players, officials stopped play and security staff retrieved it, covering it with a towel before moving it out of bounds.

Security personnel quickly located the individual, who fled the arena while wearing a Los Angeles Lakers jersey bearing the number 77. A short video showed the suspect colliding with a guard before being pursued by arena staff. The league confirmed that the fan was apprehended.

The WNBA has previously warned that fans who throw objects onto the court will face strict penalties, following several similar disruptions last season. League representatives reiterated their condemnation of any actions that interrupt games.
