The incident occurred just before Sparks forward Jihyun Park attempted free throws with 2:59 left in the third quarter, when the dildo landed near the bench and bounced across the paint. Sparks center Cameron Brink kicked the object away, and a security guard later removed it with a towel.
Reese contributed 20 points on perfect shooting (9-of-9 from the field and 2-of-2 from three-point range), along with 10 rebounds, eight assists and three steals, marking her 25th double-double of the season. She became the third player in WNBA history to record a 20-point double-double on flawless shooting.
The Dream set a franchise record for points in the win. This is not the first occurrence of a sex toy being thrown onto a WNBA court; similar incidents were reported in games involving the Dream and the Golden State Valkyries in 2025.
