Angel Reese reacts after a sex toy is thrown onto WNBA court during Dream's win over Sparks

Atlanta Dream forward Angel Reese identified the person who threw a green dildo onto the court during the team's 124-88 road win over the Los Angeles Sparks on Thursday. Reese rose from the scorer's table and repeatedly said, "Right there! Get him!" while gesturing toward the alleged perpetrator. Lip-readers suggested she also made a comment about the object's size, but the remark was not clearly audible.

The incident occurred just before Sparks forward Jihyun Park attempted free throws with 2:59 left in the third quarter, when the dildo landed near the bench and bounced across the paint. Sparks center Cameron Brink kicked the object away, and a security guard later removed it with a towel.

Reese contributed 20 points on perfect shooting (9-of-9 from the field and 2-of-2 from three-point range), along with 10 rebounds, eight assists and three steals, marking her 25th double-double of the season. She became the third player in WNBA history to record a 20-point double-double on flawless shooting.

The Dream set a franchise record for points in the win. This is not the first occurrence of a sex toy being thrown onto a WNBA court; similar incidents were reported in games involving the Dream and the Golden State Valkyries in 2025.
