Meghan Markle considering UK acting role as Sussexes return from California
Meghan Markle may take a new acting role in the United Kingdom as she and Prince Harry prepare to relocate from California, while keeping their business interests in the U.S.
Meghan Markle is reportedly being offered a role in an upcoming United Kingdom-based project, according to sources close to the Sussexes. The possibility comes as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex plan to move back to England after six years living in California.
The actress, who played Rachel Zane on the legal drama "Suits" from 2011 to 2018, has largely stepped away from acting since marrying Prince Harry in 2018. She is slated to appear as herself in the Amazon MGM comedy "Close Personal Friends" and has recently hosted the Netflix series "With Love, Meghan," launched her brand As Ever, and served as a guest judge on "MasterChef Australia."
Harry and Meghan expect to be in the United Kingdom within weeks, with their children Archie and Lilibet set to start school in September. The couple will retain their Montecito residence and will not relocate their production company Archewell or the As Ever brand to the UK. They will continue as non-working royals, having stepped down from official duties in 2020.
