Dreyer's initiates voluntary recall of select Outshine fruit bars over glass contamination risk

Resumen

Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream is recalling certain Outshine Fruit Bar varieties after detecting possible glass fragments, though no injuries have been reported.

Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream, Inc. announced a voluntary recall of several Outshine Fruit Bar flavors after identifying a potential glass contamination. The recall covers limited batches of Strawberry, Watermelon, Grape, Tangerine and Black Cherry bars packaged in six-piece boxes. Batch and UPC codes are printed on the bottom of each box, and the affected products were distributed to retailers across the United States.

The company said no illnesses or injuries have been reported. It provided a contact email ([email protected]) for consumer inquiries and noted that other Outshine products are not affected.

"The safety, quality, and integrity of our products remain our highest priority. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this action may cause our consumers and retail customers," the statement read.

A complete list of the recalled items, including specific batch and UPC numbers, is available in Dreyer's news release.
