Former 'The Challenge' contestant Tyler Duckworth dies at 44
Tyler Duckworth, a two-time winner of MTV's 'The Challenge' and former 'Real World' cast member, was found dead in his North Dakota home at age 44, with authorities classifying the case as an unattended death.
Tyler Duckworth, who appeared on six seasons of MTV's reality competition "The Challenge" and won the 2010 "Cutthroat" and 2011 "Rivals" editions, was found unresponsive in his bathroom in North Dakota on Tuesday, officials said. The death is being treated as unattended, meaning no witnesses were present at the scene. Duckworth, 44, had recently undergone surgery, though it is not yet known whether the procedure was related to his death. Paramount declined to comment when contacted.
Former castmates posted tributes on social media. > "Life is crazy. RIP Mighty Duckworth! You were so vibrant 2 weeks ago, it’s so wild to imagine your vibrant energy no longer here. Sending prayers and love to your family and friends. The Challenge fam lost a legend ❤️," wrote Paulie Calafiore.
"It’s hard to find the right words when someone who was part of such a meaningful chapter of your life is suddenly gone," Tina Barta wrote, adding that Duckworth "brought his own light, humor, and heart" to those around him.
Duckworth's last Instagram post, shared earlier in the month, showed him at the Challenge Mania event in Minneapolis, where he expressed pride in representing his hometown and thanked fans for their support.
