Earlier, Lindell trailed House speaker Lisa Demuth by more than ten percentage points, according to The Guardian, and he alleged that hundreds of thousands of votes remained uncounted after the results were certified, USA Today said. The primary was won by Demuth, and incumbent Democratic Governor Tim Walz announced he would not seek a third term amid a large welfare-fraud investigation, Forbes noted.
