Leaked Screen Protector Shows Asymmetric Corners on Rumored iPhone Ultra Foldable
A leak of a screen protector for Apple's rumored iPhone Ultra confirms an asymmetric front design with square corners near the hinge and rounded corners on the opposite side, and indicates a right-side punch-hole camera.
A leak posted by the source known as “Ice Universe” includes images and a video of a screen protector designed for Apple’s rumored foldable iPhone Ultra. The accessory features square corners on the edge that would align with the device’s hinge and rounded corners on the opposite side, supporting earlier speculation about an asymmetric front panel.
"The shape reflects the protector covering the entire glass panel rather than matching the display area exactly, and the screen underneath is still expected to have symmetrical rounded corners and uniform bezels on all sides," Ice Universe said.
The protector also displays a single punch-hole cutout for the front-facing camera on the right side of the panel, contrary to earlier reports that suggested a centered placement. Because the iPhone Ultra is anticipated to use Touch ID instead of Face ID, a smaller camera module is feasible.
The leak follows recent images of rear-camera protective covers and adds to a series of rumors that describe a 5.5-inch cover display, a 7.8-inch inner display, an A20 Pro processor, a 5,000 mAh battery, a 48-megapixel dual rear-camera system and 18-megapixel selfie cameras on both screens. The device is expected to launch with the iPhone 18 Pro lineup in mid-September, with a starting price of about $2,000.
