Mega Millions hits $800 million as Powerball climbs to $663 million
Delaware officials said the Powerball jackpot rose to an estimated $663 million for the drawing after no ticket matched ’s numbers. Earlier in July, the Mega Millions prize increased to $743 million after a draw produced no winner, according to Forbes.
The jackpot then reached $800 million after 37 consecutive draws without a winner, New York Post reported. A Florida ticket sold at a Wawa store in Bradenton near Sarasota matched all six numbers on July 28, securing the $800 million prize, USA Today said, and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune confirmed the ticket’s purchase location.
