Google's Pixel 11 series expected to launch with Tensor G6 chip
Google is slated to launch its Pixel 11 smartphone series, which will be built around the new Tensor G6 processor. According to Android Authority, early leaks suggest the lineup will emphasize software improvements while offering only modest hardware upgrades such as unchanged battery capacity and incremental camera tweaks. 9to5Google reports that the launch is scheduled for August 12 and that each model will see a price increase of about $100, with the 128 GB base storage option being removed. GSMArena notes that the devices will incorporate TSMC's 2 nm Tensor G6 chip together with a MediaTek M90 modem capable of up to 12 Gbps 5G speeds and satellite connectivity.
9to5Google adds that this makes the Tensor G6 the first smartphone chipset produced on a 2 nm process, giving Google a brief lead over Apple. A separate leak cited by Android Authority provides specifications for a Pixel 11a variant, describing an 8 GB RAM configuration, a 6. 3-inch display and a new front-camera, with a possible launch in spring 2027.
