Judge Upholds Deadline to Remove Trump Name from Kennedy Center
A Washington district judge upheld the deadline to strip President Donald Trump's name from the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. The Center had already taken down all online references to Trump after a district court order, as The Guardian reported.
Shortly thereafter, the Center's board voted to seek a stay of the same order, according to AP News. The board also filed an appeal asking a federal judge to pause the removal, NPR said. The judge denied the administration's request for a stay, CNBC reported, and later rejected the Center's appeal, confirming that the deadline remains in force, NPR noted.
