Federal Judge Orders Removal of Trump Name from Kennedy Center
The Guardian reported that a Washington district judge ordered the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts to remove all references to Donald J. Trump from its signage. AP News said the center’s board voted to seek a stay of the order. NPR noted that the board filed an appeal to pause the ruling. CNBC reported that a federal judge denied the administration’s request for a stay.
CBS News indicated that workers began taking down the Trump signage and that a D. C. Circuit panel rejected an emergency stay. AP News added that the center completed removal of the signage, while CNN observed that plastic sheeting continued to obscure the building. Later, CBS News said the board approved an endowment bearing Trump’s name.
