The Pittsburgh Steelers have re-signed quarterback Aaron Rodgers to a one-year contract for the 2026 NFL season.

Rodgers, 42, joined the Steelers in 2025 and started 16 games that season, completing 327 of 498 passes for 3,322 yards, 24 touchdowns, and seven interceptions.

Steelers quarterbacks coach Tom Arth, who was a teammate of Rodgers in Green Bay during the 2006 offseason and preseason, commented on Rodgers' approach to the game: "He's extremely focused and locked in. He's such a competitive player, but he has so much fun playing the game. And that's what I really enjoy about Aaron."

Rodgers and Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy previously worked together for 13 seasons with the Green Bay Packers, winning Super Bowl XLV in 2010.

The Steelers' decision to re-sign Rodgers reflects their commitment to pursuing a Super Bowl, with limited options available at the quarterback position.
