Utah Author Kouri Richins Sentenced to Life Without Parole
The Guardian reported that Kouri Richins' three sons expressed fear ahead of their mother’s sentencing for the murder of their father, Eric Richins, in Park City. WRAL noted that Richins, convicted of murdering her husband with a fentanyl-laced cocktail, awaited sentencing while her children worried about a possible release. The BBC later announced that Richins was sentenced to life in prison without parole for the fentanyl poisoning death of her husband in Park City.
The report added that she had authored a children’s book on grief after the killing. TMZ and CBS confirmed that the judge imposed the life-without-parole term, with the ruling delivered on what would have been Eric Richins’ 44th birthday.
