NASA and SpaceX Reschedule Crew-12 Launch to Friday Due to Weather
NASA and SpaceX have postponed the Crew-12 mission launch to the International Space Station to Friday, February 13, citing unfavorable weather conditions along the flight path.
NASA and SpaceX have rescheduled the launch of the Crew-12 mission to the International Space Station (ISS) to no earlier than 5:15 a.m. EST on Friday, February 13, due to forecasted elevated winds along the flight path.
The Crew-12 mission will transport NASA astronauts Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway, European Space Agency astronaut Sophie Adenot, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev to the ISS aboard a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft, launched by a Falcon 9 rocket from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.
The crew remains in quarantine at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, awaiting the revised launch date.
If the launch proceeds as scheduled on Friday, the Crew-12 team is expected to arrive at the ISS by approximately 3:15 p.m. on Saturday, February 14.
This mission follows the early return of Crew-11 in January due to a medical issue, which left the ISS operating with a reduced crew. The arrival of Crew-12 will restore the station's full complement of seven crew members.
NASA and SpaceX will continue to monitor weather conditions leading up to the scheduled launch time to ensure the safety of the crew and mission success.
