NASA has moved up the launch date for the SpaceX Crew-12 mission to February 11, 2026, aiming to expedite the arrival of a relief crew at the International Space Station (ISS) following an early medical evacuation. The Crew-12 mission will transport four astronauts: NASA's Jessica Meir (commander) and Jack Hathaway (pilot), European Space Agency astronaut Sophie Adenot, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev. The crew is set to launch aboard the Crew Dragon capsule "Grace" from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. This mission marks the second spaceflight for Meir and Fedyaev, while Hathaway and Adenot will be making their first journey to space. The Crew-12 team will join the current ISS crew members—NASA's Chris Williams and cosmonauts Sergey Kud-Sverchkov and Sergei Mikaev—as part of Expedition 74, which will transition to Expedition 75 during their nine-month stay. Backup launch dates are scheduled for February 12 and 13, at 5:38 a.m. and 5:15 a.m. EST, respectively.
