Sean 'Diddy' Combs Transferred to Federal Prison in New Jersey
Sean 'Diddy' Combs has been relocated to FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey following his conviction on prostitution-related charges.
Sean "Diddy" Combs has been transferred to the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Fort Dix in New Jersey after his recent conviction on prostitution-related charges. Online prison records confirm the music mogul's relocation from the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, where he had been held since his arrest in September 2024.
Combs' legal team had requested that he serve his sentence at FCI Fort Dix to facilitate addressing drug abuse issues and to maximize family visitation and rehabilitative efforts. The facility, located at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst northeast of Philadelphia, is described as a low-security federal correctional institution with an adjacent minimum-security satellite camp.
In July, Combs was convicted on two counts of violating the Mann Act, which criminalizes the transportation of individuals for the purpose of prostitution or debauchery. He was acquitted of more serious charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering. On October 3, 2025, he was sentenced to 50 months in prison, with an expected release date in May 2028. Combs has announced plans to appeal both his conviction and sentence.
A spokesperson for Combs declined to comment on his transfer to FCI Fort Dix.
