Blizzard unveils World of Warcraft Forever, a Classic+ expansion

Ամփոփում

Blizzard announced World of Warcraft Forever, a new Classic+ mode that will add zones, raids, a new race and ongoing level-60 content, launching in six weeks.

Blizzard revealed a new version of World of Warcraft called "World of Warcraft Forever" at BlizzCon 2026. The mode is designed to retain the classic experience while providing fresh content for players.

The update will revamp three existing classic zones and introduce three additional ones, along with three new raids, a new battleground and a new playable race called the Skyborne elves. Blizzard also said the expansion will add thousands of quests and other content to the existing classic areas.

Unlike previous expansions that raise the level cap, World of Warcraft Forever will continue to expand the level-60 experience horizontally, adding new raids, quests and zones over time. It is not yet clear whether the mode will run on a separate timeline from the current retail version, which could allow narrative divergence.

Blizzard also gave a brief preview of the next retail content patch, titled "Eclipse," which will feature a confrontation with the entity Xal'atath. The upcoming expansion, announced as "The Last Titan," is expected to arrive in 2027.

World of Warcraft Forever is scheduled to launch six weeks from the announcement, giving players an early opportunity to explore the new content.
