The Powerball jackpot has surged to an estimated $1 billion, making it the sixth-largest prize in the game's history. The winning numbers drawn on Saturday night were 3, 18, 22, 27, 33, with the Powerball number 17. As of now, it is unclear if any ticket matched all six numbers to claim the massive prize.
This jackpot has been growing since May 31, following 39 consecutive drawings without a grand prize winner. The odds of matching all six numbers are 1 in 292.2 million.
Powerball tickets are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Each ticket costs $2, with an additional $1 option for the Power Play feature, which can multiply non-jackpot winnings.
The largest Powerball jackpot to date was $2.04 billion, won by a single ticket in California in November 2022.
