Georgia teen indicted on seven felony sex crime charges
A 15-year-old son of reality-TV personalities Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann has been indicted on multiple felony counts, including aggravated child molestation, and remains in custody without bond.
A Georgia grand jury indicted Kroy "KJ" Biermann Jr., the 15-year-old son of Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann, on seven felony charges related to alleged sexual offenses. The indictment, filed on Sept. 3, includes one count each of aggravated child molestation, aggravated sexual battery, aggravated sodomy and false imprisonment, plus three additional counts of aggravated sexual battery against a child under 16. The charges stem from an incident reported to have occurred in April at a local gym, where the victim alleges Biermann forced sexual acts without consent.
Biermann was arrested on Aug. 17 and is being held without bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 8. He has filed a motion for release, which was denied.
"While respecting that cases involving children require patience, care, and a commitment from all of us to understanding the full picture as the process continues," attorney Jason B. Sheffield said, adding that the indictment does not prove guilt and that "without DNA evidence, the case remains one of 'she said, he said.'"
Sheffield also emphasized that the legal process should treat the defendant as a minor and warned against public commentary on social media. The prosecutor’s complaint details that the alleged victim and Biermann met at the gym’s family locker room, after which the victim says she was restrained and subjected to oral and digital sexual assault. A sexual assault kit reportedly returned no male DNA evidence. Police surveillance captured the pair entering the locker room together for about 30 minutes.
The case remains under investigation, and authorities have not released further evidence.
