U.S. Secret Service investigates Iranian video threatening Barron Trump

Resumen

The Secret Service confirmed it is examining a video aired on Iranian state television that depicts locations linked to Barron Trump and offers a $10 million reward for information on his whereabouts.

The U.S. Secret Service said it is reviewing a video broadcast by Iranian state media that threatens President Donald Trump's youngest son, Barron Trump. The footage shows sites associated with the teenager and concludes with a suggestion of a $10 million reward for locating him.

"The U.S. Secret Service is aware of the video and investigates anything that can be perceived as a threat toward our protectees," Secret Service spokesperson Nate Herring told Fox News Digital.

Herring added that details of protective intelligence cannot be disclosed for security reasons.

The video follows a pattern of Iranian outlets issuing hostile messages toward the Trump family after high-profile incidents such as the 2020 killing of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani. Deputy Director Matt Quinn previously noted that Iran has publicly expressed a desire to kill President Trump.

The White House directed inquiries about the matter to the Secret Service, which is handling the investigation.
