Samsung's Galaxy S27 Ultra spotted with major redesign and higher price speculation
Leaked renders suggest the upcoming Galaxy S27 Ultra will feature a larger camera module and battery, while rumors indicate a possible $1,499 starting price.
New CAD-based renders of Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S27 Ultra show a redesign that includes a raised camera module similar to recent iPhone models, while the overall dimensions are slightly larger at 163.76 × 78.25 × 7.97 mm. The camera bump is reported to extend to about 12.53 mm, and the device is expected to retain the integrated S Pen.
According to the leaks, the phone will be equipped with a larger battery, Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon flagship processor, and will drop the telephoto lens found on the previous model. A Twitter post by the account @phonefuturist suggests the S27 Ultra could launch at $1,499, roughly $200 more than the S26 Ultra, though the credibility of the source is uncertain. The renders also note that Qi2 magnetic charging will not be included.
"The new design represents a significant shift from Samsung's recent emphasis on a vertical camera layout," a Samsung spokesperson said in a product briefing.
Analysts note that while the design changes are notable, pricing and feature details remain unconfirmed until an official announcement, expected in January.
