Scottie Scheffler wins FedEx St. Jude Championship, earns $3.6 million and 750 FedExCup points
Scheffler captured his second victory of the season at TPC Southwind, securing the first playoff event, $3.6 million and a 750-point boost in the FedExCup standings.
Scottie Scheffler posted a 17-under-par 263 to win the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind, finishing eight strokes ahead of the nearest competitors. The victory, his 21st PGA Tour title, awards him 750 FedExCup points and $3.6 million from the $20 million prize pool, extending his lead in the season-long standings to roughly 1,450 points over Matt Fitzpatrick.
Scheffler opened the tournament with a second-round 61, matching the course record, and closed with a 66, the second-lowest score of the final round. Si Woo Kim and Alex Noren finished second and tied for third, respectively. Defending champion Justin Rose tied for 39th, posting a 64, while several players, including Daniel Berger, missed the event due to injury and will not qualify for the upcoming BMW Championship.
The win marks Scheffler’s second of the year after his January triumph at The American Express. His margin of victory is the largest in the FedExCup playoffs since Dustin Johnson’s 11-stroke win at the 2020 Genesis Invitational.
