Neil Patrick Harris spotted at D23 Disney Experiences showcase, sparking Figment speculation

Disney Experiences Chairman Thomas Mazloum and actor Neil Patrick Harris were photographed together in front of the Disney Experiences Showcase stage at the D23 Expo. The backdrop featured silhouettes and colors that resemble the classic Dreamfinder character holding Figment, prompting speculation about a possible announcement related to the iconic EPCOT attraction.

In a recent promotional video, Harris said, "I’ve got it," using an accent reminiscent of a line spoken by Dreamfinder in the original Journey Into Imagination ride. The video also displayed a light bulb above his head, a symbol traditionally associated with imagination in the attraction.

Fans have long called for a revival of the Dreamfinder character, which was removed from the original attraction in 1998. The subsequent versions of the ride, including "Journey into Your Imagination" and the current "Journey into Imagination with Figment," have received mixed reactions. Rumors over the years have suggested various Disney properties might be paired with Figment, but none have materialized.

The D23 event, scheduled to continue for two more days, may provide clarification on whether Disney plans to reintroduce Dreamfinder or make other updates to the Imagination Pavilion.
