EPCOT's Imagination Pavilion to Be Refurbished, Reuniting Dreamfinder with Figment
Disney announced a refurbishment of EPCOT's Imagination pavilion that will bring back the Dreamfinder character alongside Figment, though details of the update have not yet been disclosed.
Disney confirmed that the Imagination pavilion at EPCOT will undergo a refurbishment, reintroducing the Dreamfinder character alongside the long-standing Figment. The announcement was made during the closing segment of the Disney Experiences showcase at the D23 fan event.
"We are taking a new flight of fancy into imagination at EPCOT with Dreamfinder and Figment!" said Disney Experiences Chairman Thomas Mazloum, adding that the change reflects guest feedback.
The park has not released specifics about the planned changes to the pavilion or the associated attraction, but further information is expected in the coming months. Dreamfinder originally appeared in the 1983 "Journey Into Imagination" ride and was absent after 1998, while Figment has remained a fixture since the attraction's debut.
Fans have long advocated for Dreamfinder's return, and the announced pairing with Figment closes a narrative gap that has persisted for more than two decades.
