Apple's Camera-Equipped AirPods May Launch Soon
Apple is reportedly nearing the release of its camera-equipped AirPods, with a variant expected to debut as early as September.
Apple is advancing its development of camera-equipped AirPods, with indications that a variant known as B790 could be launched as soon as September. This follows earlier rumors that the more advanced version, codename B798, would not be available until 2027.
The B790 variant appears to be further along in development, with references to it already found in the iOS 27 code and included in Apple's internal roadmap for a potential release this year. Developer Sam Henri Gold previously identified mentions of this model in the iOS 27 beta 2.
While details on the specific features of the B790 and B798 models remain unclear, reports suggest that the AirPods with cameras may feature longer stems compared to the AirPods Pro to accommodate the camera technology, along with an LED indicator for cloud data transmission.
