ROG Xbox Ally Handhelds Set for October 16 Release
Microsoft and ASUS's ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X handheld gaming devices are reportedly launching on October 16, 2025, with pre-orders beginning August 20 during Gamescom 2025.
Microsoft and ASUS are reportedly set to release their collaborative handheld gaming devices, the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X, on October 16, 2025. Pre-orders are expected to commence on August 20, coinciding with Gamescom 2025.
The ROG Xbox Ally X is anticipated to be priced at €899, while the standard ROG Xbox Ally is expected to retail at €599. These prices align with previous leaks and suggest that the devices will be among the most expensive Xbox-branded consoles to date.
Both models are designed to function as portable Windows 11 PCs, offering compatibility with various gaming platforms, including Xbox Game Pass, Steam, and Epic Games Store. The ROG Xbox Ally X is equipped with an AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor, 24GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD, whereas the standard ROG Xbox Ally features an AMD Ryzen Z2 A processor, 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD. Both devices boast 7-inch Full HD displays with 120Hz refresh rates.
Microsoft and ASUS have yet to officially confirm these details. However, the timing of the pre-order launch during Gamescom 2025 suggests an imminent official announcement.
